Christopher is one of the only male healers in the game, the other being Gold-rarity Robert added on September 29, 2015. This lets him participate in the male unit only missions (Mens' Battle 1,2,3 and A Toast to Men). Outside of that he is on par with the other early game healers, Dorca and Alissa, having approximately the same stats and the same ability, the only downside being the difficulty of decreasing his unit cost compared to them, for obvious reasons.
I don't really know. I just suddenly noticed that I had this power. True, it's the power to heal, but to most it ends up being an object of fear.
*You had asked Christopher when he first obtained his power as a healer. His reply reminds you of the mages and witches. They too have abilities different from those of average humans, and are feared because of it. Apparently, even healers are not immune to such treatment. Christopher speaks in a calm, cool tone, and his expression is difficult to read.*
Think about it. As a small child I was badly injured, but those injuries then just disappeared. You couldn't blame people for wondering if a kid like that was actually human.
*Gazing slightly downward, Christopher speaks as if recollecting memories of that time.*
Still, my parents were supportive of my power. They told me to be happy with it and use it to help the world. That's why I'm here doing this today. When the war started, the place I lived got hit pretty hard. At that point, I was already a healer, so I just threw myself into helping out.
*Feared and despised, yet still wanting to help. It's thanks to his parents that he thinks this way, he explains as he sips his wine.*
I'm truly blessed.
*His words engulf the room in which you sit.*
Lots of injuries today, eh? Only natural in battle, I suppose.
*The fighting is getting fiercer, and along with your growing ranks have come growing casualties. You have healers other than Christopher, but even so they often can't keep up.*
Time to improve my healing powers a bit...
*Christopher gazes at his hands as he speaks, stifling his words as though lamenting his own powerlessness. The expression on his face in the beginning is now gone. You too feel his sadness deeply. You describe to him the future you are envisioning. Whether it will become a reality will of course depend on the battles you would now fight. But one thing was for sure: healers would be absolutely essential. Christopher listens intently, and then slowly speaks.*
If we're going to make that future happen, we can't stop here. I'm going to get stronger. And if you get injured, I'll heal you in a flash. Count on it.
*And he will heal many others as well, he declares, his eyes locking onto yours. The Christopher from before is no longer to be seen.*
Serving by your side like this is perhaps the second blessing I've received. I'll see the world you will defend, and the world you will create. What could be better than that?
*As Christopher utters these words into the war-strewn world you find yourself in, you feel that you too would like to see the future that he'll create.*
