Desert Scorpion is the seventh mission in the Desert chapter of Story Missions. It introduces the Scorpion enemy. This highly armored enemy can paralyze units that it attacks causing them to stop blocking. This makes the mission a balance between blocking the scorpions and deploying magical attackers to kill them before the paralysis kicks in.

The completion bonus here is Percis, a Artillery Officer. Artillery Officers are a class that players may not have encountered before this point. They have a long-range splash attack that deals physical damage.

Of course, the special condition on this map is Initial HP reduction: Large which gives a 80% HP reduction. This is the first occurrence of the large version of this effect among the story missions.
