Abilities are passive effects that a Gold or higher rarity unit may possess on top of their Skill and class innate traits. For most, these are only available upon awakening the unit; however, a number of units do possess one before awakening. The units that already have an ability usually receive an upgraded version after awakening.
Some abilities are put in effect so long as your unit with the ability are placed in your team; others only start working once the unit is placed on the map. Abilities have no levels.
